Day 1 –Arrival

Arrival at Kittilä airport, transfer to Hotel Jeris (approx. 45min). Dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Overnight in double rooms with wc and shower or cosy log cabins with wc, shower and sauna close to the hotel.

Day 2 –Torassieppi Winter Village and reindeer & Northern Lights Workshop

After breakfast you will take a short bus transfer to the Torassieppi Reindeer farm. Visit a 100 year old unique Lappish farmhouse and a reindeer museum. Test your reindeer herder skills by throwing a lasso and then driving a 3km round in the forest with a reindeer sled next to
Pallas-Ylläs National Park. A short walk brings you to the Winter Village with the ice restaurant,
bar and impressive wall carvings. Lunch will be served in the ice restaurant*.

Bus transfer back to the hotel. In the afternoon the guide will tell you more about the fascinating phenomenon of the Northern Lights and the science & myths behind it whilst enjoying a local drink and snack. Dinner in restaurant.

Day 3 –Husky adventure & dinner by open fire with Joiku

Have a hearty breakfast after which you will be transferred to the nearby husky farm. You will meet the lovely huskies, enjoy a tour of the farm and take a 15 km safari, two persons per sled. On return lunch will be in the restaurant. This evening you will enjoy a traditional dinner served in our lake side restaurant with open fire.

After dinner a local Sami will join to sing his own special songs and tell you the story behind them. Here you will also learn of the traditional outfits and the hidden meanings in the clothes warn by the Sami people.

Day 4 –Snowmobiling with net fishing

Today after breakfast it’s snowmobile time. Driving distance is approx. 35 km
and you will drive 2 persons per snowmobile.

Follow the guide through snow covered forests to a nearby lake and learn the techniques of the ancient net fishing. Lunch served by open fire.Upon your return from the snowmobile safari a local treat will be served in the restaurant. Dinner in restaurant.

Day 5 –Free day and Aurora Snow train

This day is free for your own activities.All meals are served in the restaurant. In the evening the Aurora snow train is ready to take you across the frozen lakes in its heated carriages. A stop will be made for sausages over the fire as you search for the Northern Lights.

Day 6 –Snowshoe hike in the National Park & Arctic Sauna World 

Eat well at breakfast, as afterwards your guide will be taking you by minibus to the Pallas fell area. This is the largest fell area in Western Lapland and is known for its breath taking beauty. You will visit the nature centre to learn more about the area before taking a snowshoe walk to enjoy the surroundings. Lunch will be taken on return in the restaurant. In the afternoon you will experience 4 different styles of the Finnish sauna and and winter swimming, known for its health benefits.
A local drink will be
served. Dinner in the restaurant.



Day 7 –Free day and Lappish dinner

Today you will have a free day to spend as you wish. Lunch will be served in the hotel restaurant or you can have a packed lunch box to take out with you. A special Lappish dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant.

Day 8 -Departure

After breakfast transfer to Kittilä airport.
