Aurora Christmas Adventure Muonio (3–4 Nights)

This holiday package in Muonio, Finnish Lapland is designed for adults and families with children aged 12 years and older who want more active days and a stronger focus on Arctic experiences and northern lights programs. Flights and train or bus tickets to our resorts in Lapland are not included, only the local return transfers listed above are included.

We arrange return transfers between Kittilä Airport or Kolari Railway Station and your resort. Share your flight numbers and arrival and departure times as soon as possible, so we can arrange your pick-up and transfer schedule.

You should pack these base and mid-layers:

• long thermal underwear
• thin turtleneck pullover
• fleece or woollen shirt and trousers
• thick, warm pullover
• warm woollen or thermal socks (avoid cotton socks and nylon tights)
• thin gloves to wear under the thick gloves provided
• thick winter hat or beanie
• scarf or snood for neck and face

Useful extras:

• neck pouch for phone and camera
• bathing suit (needed for Arctic Sauna World or if you would like to visit the outdoor jacuzzi at Harriniva Adventure Resort)
• sunglasses and sun lotion in spring
• optional: headlamp and spare batteries or backup power supply
• optional: heat packs

We provide winter clothing for all guests:

• warm winter overall
• snow boots and a pair of woollen socks
• balaclava and warm gloves

Northern Lights sightings depend on solar activity and local weather, so they cannot be guaranteed. Your guide uses the latest aurora and weather forecasts and takes you to dark areas away from village lights to maximise your chances, but cloud cover or low geomagnetic activity can prevent a sighting.

If you want more opportunities, add an extra aurora activity night or extend your stay, because multiple evenings usually increase the chance of catching clear skies and active conditions.

Even if the aurora does not appear, the experience is still worth it. Lapland’s winter night is often quiet and atmospheric, and we recommend relaxing, enjoying the stillness, and taking in the dark-sky wilderness as part of the evening adventure.

Aurora Christmas Adventure is a package with 3-4 nights. Choose your length of stay, either 3 or 4 nights. It runs from 26.11.-27.12.2026 (last arrival on December 24th) with daily arrivals.

Yes. To drive a snowmobile, the driver must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driving licence for category B.

This is a moderate, easy-paced winter holiday package designed for adults and families with children aged 12+. Most activities are guided and do not require previous experience, but you should prepare for spending time outdoors in winter conditions.

Yes. Snowmobile safaris have a self-liability of up to 1200 € per snowmobile.
