Wilderness Adventure with snowmobiles

Day of arrival- Let the adventure begin

Welcome to Lapland! Upon landing at Kittilä Airport (KTT) or arriving at Kolari railway station, you’ll be transferred to Harriniva Adventure Resort. There, you’ll meet your guide, pick up your winter gear and helmet, and receive a safety briefing along with driving instructions.

Your guide will also go through the full itinerary and explain everything you need to know about the coming
days from daily plans to wilderness routines, so you can fully enjoy the experience. Once ready, you’ll head out on your first snowmobile safari through forest trails to reach your wilderness basecamp. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your wilderness chef and settle in for the night.

Day 2 & Day 3

Spend two full days riding deeper into the Arctic wilderness, with snowy trails leading you through forests, across frozen lakes, and depending on weather conditions, on top and past fells with their round, snow- covered peaks. A picnic lunch is enjoyed during the day, in between driving.
Each day brings new scenery, the thrill of speed, and the quiet beauty of nature. After the rides, unwind in the sauna and enjoy hearty dinners prepared by a wilderness chef. Total driving distance per day is approx.
80–100 km. Overnights in wilderness cabin.

Departure Day

Enjoy your last wilderness breakfast, then hop on your snowmobile one last time for the shorter ride back to the resort. On arrival, return your gear and get ready for your transfer to the airport or train station. If you’d like to extend your stay, ask us about availability for an extra night in our hotel rooms or Northern Lights accommodation.

Accommodation

Your base for the adventure is a remote wilderness cabin, tucked deep in nature; quiet, peaceful, and far from the lights and sounds of the city. With no streetlights and wide-open skies, it’s the perfect setting for spotting the northern lights. The cabin offers shared sleeping quarters and simple, atmospheric surroundings that reflect authentic life in the Arctic. Facilities are rustic: limited access to electricity, a traditional Finnish wood-heated sauna for washing, and a wilderness toilet without running water. And if
you’re feeling brave, a refreshing roll in the snow after the sauna makes for a true Nordic experience.
