Activities
Into the Wilderness with Huskies
Embark on an overnight tour to the wilderness! The 2-day dog-mushing experience starts right after breakfast. Check-out of your hotel rooms, pack up your gear, get to know your own team of dogs and learn how to handle the sled. Each person will mush their own team of dogs on this husky sledding adventure.
Travel through wintery arctic landscapes, prepare lunches on the way in the wilderness, and test your wilderness skills by making the fire, feeding the huskies, and of course by heating the traditional lakeside sauna in the evening at the wilderness cabin.
Overnight at the wilderness cabin with shared facilities and rooms*. Driving distance is about 25km per day.
Start Your Engines – Snowmobile Day
Speed things up a little and start the snowmobile engines! Ride through the snow-covered forests and over the frozen lakes, and admire the vast wilderness of Finnish Lapland on this snowmobile tour.
On this longer snowmobile tour of 60 – 80km you will share a snowmobile and change the driver halfway. Lunch is enjoyed during the tour.
Day as a Reindeer Herder
Spend a day at a traditional reindeer farm in the small village of Torassieppi. Here you have a chance to get a glimpse of the life in earlier days when visiting a 100-year-old, unique Lappish farmhouse and a reindeer museum.
Learn about reindeer husbandry and how to throw suopunki, the Lappish lasso, in one of Lapland’s most authentic reindeer parks. The experience is not complete without the reindeer tour – test your driving skills on 7 km long reindeer safari through the forest. Tasty lunch is served during the reindeer day.

Free time for your own bucket-list. To complete your Best of Lapland experience you can go cross-country skiing or try snowshoeing, or you can book additional activities from our weekly program.
Important information
Snowmobile safaris have a self-liability of max. 800€ per snowmobile. The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driving license
(for vehicles with at least 125 cc).
This holiday is suitable for those aged 18 years and over.
Harriniva Hotels & Safaris reserves the right to make changes to activities for reasons of safety or other unforeseen circumstances. Full itinerary will be given to guests on arrival.
*Please note that at the wilderness cabins you will be sleeping with the whole group in a same room. There are no single or private room possibilities.
