Our experienced guide leads you between the fells and through the gorges. After spending the long days driving in the evening you can relax and enjoy hearty dinner and traditional sauna.

Culmination of your Lapland quest is the ascent to Halti – the highest peak in Finland. From the top you can see the Norwegian mountain chain and the vast white snow desert around you.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival

Welcome to Lapland! Transfer from Kittilä airport to Muonio. Enjoy dinner and accommodate in safari accommodation with shared facilities.

Day 2 – The adventure begins

After breakfast collect your snowmobile equipment and meet your guide. The guide will give you safety and driving instructions as well go through course of the tour. Then it is time to start the adventure and head towards north into the snowy forests!
In the afternoon we arrive to Palojärvi, where dinner and sauna are awaiting. Overnight in cosy log cabins.

Day 3 – Through the snowy desert

After breakfast the adventure continues. During the next days you travel in open mountain area, where weather can change rapidly from sunshine to snowstorm. Admire the white snowy landscape as far as the eye can see and follow the guide between the fells and gorges.  Enjoy dinner and overnight in cabins or apartments in Kilpisjärvi.

Day 4 – Top of Halti and Three-country Cairn
 
Today´s leg will take you into the fells. Summit the highest fell of Finland, Halti, on snowmobiles!
If lucky with the weather, from the peak witness the amazing landscape of the Norwegian mountain chain.
The tour continues to the Swedish fell area and we visit the border monument of three countries – Finland, Sweden, and Norway. After a long day driving warm cabin and dinner are more than welcome in Kilpisjärvi!

Day 5 – Deep in the fells

On the fifth day you drive from Kilpisjärvi back towards Palojärvi on the tracks going partly on the ‘Victoria Trail’ between Finland and Sweden. You drive deep in the fell area surrounded by untouched nature. Relax in sauna, enjoy dinner and overnight in cabins.

Day 6- Last leg

Our last leg of the tour takes us back to Muonio over the frozen lakes and boreal forests. In the evening go through the highlights of the tour once more at the farewell dinner and enjoy delicious
Lappish specialities. Overnight in safari accommodation with shared facilities.

Day 7 – Departure

Breakfast and transfer to Kittilä airport.

During the tour you spend four nights at cabins or apartments. These accommodations are cosy and have shared facilities for the group

All the driving distances are approximate distances. Route changes may occur due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen situations.

This is a physical programme and requires good level of physical condition. The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driving license (for vehicles with at least 125 cc). There are no shared driving possibilities.
